FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY FOR ALL!

A substantial part of Cyprus remains in the grip of Turkey since the the Turkish invasion of the island in 1974 and subsequent creation of the illegal, so called, "TRNC" (Turkish Republic of North Cyprus). Turkey still occupies 37% of Cyprus with an army of 40,0000 and has changed the demography of the occupied areas of the island with illegal settlement of 350,000 Turks from Turkey, which constitutes a "Crime against Humanity".

Cyprus sits in the hearts of Greek Cypriots as well as many Turkish Cypriots who regard Turkey as an occupying power that destroyed both Cypriot communities and their way of life. The Greek Cypriots never forget, never condone the invasion and colonisation of occupied northern part of Cyprus by Turkey. Our struggles continue and will continue until the liberation of all Cyprus for all Cypriots.

There is no better way to express our hopes, desires and wishes than through the fine arts. Images speak louder than words. We believe that the five artists we exhibit speak not only of Freedom of Cyprus and its people but also of Peace and Democracy for a small island that has witnessed much injustice, blood-shed and division.

We struggle daily for Freedom and Democracy for Cyprus and invite you all to join

us in that effort by attending the opening of the exhibition on the 5th of March 2018

at 8:00 pm at the Greek Cypriot Brotherhood Centre in Britannia Road,

London N12 9RU.

His Eminence Archbishop Gregorios will open the exhibition after a wine reception
