The question is answered abundantly in Athens where the Modern City of Greece lives and breathes along side the Ancient Monuments dating some 2500 years ago. I have been been to Rome and other places where Ancient monuments exist but nothing like Athens and the abundance of ancient monuments, which somehow give life and vitality to the modern city of today.
With these ideas and life Vasilis Zenetzis embraced Athens and painted it like no other Greek artist and indeed no other known artist!
