BONHAMS SELL GREEK ART VERY WELL

FIRST LIVE AUCTION, 62% SOLD BY LOT

The first Greek art auction after lockdown and 62% sold was very good by any standards. Prices were more or less as expected but rather high and the future looks promising for all art sections and especially Greek art.

Prominent names made very good money including:

Moralis who took the top price of the sale with 312,000 for his synthesis

Theofilos 137,000 for his Karaiskakis

Ghika 72,000 for his Terrace Plants

Tsarouhis for 76,000 for his Vase of Flowers

Engonopoulos 52,000 for Jason

Ralli 35,000 for Lady of Flowers

Economou 25,000 for his Loutraki

Spyropoulos 31,000 for his Synthesis

We congratulate Bonhmas for their sterling work and hope that the new team will be more successful than the earlier one.
