MAGRITTE TAKES THE TOP SELLING LOT AT 19 MILLION POUNDS

RENE MAGRITTE

IT WAS A NIGHT OF GREAT RESULTS FOR CHRISTIES AND RECORDS WERE ALSO SET IN PLACE. MAGRITTE’S PAINTING WAS GREAT AND THE AMOUNT PAID FOR IT DESERVEDLY.

BUT DE LEMPICKA’S PORTRAIT OF THE 1930 BROUGHT IN SIXTEEN MILLION. WHAT A PORTRAIT!

THE SALE CONTINUED WITH TREMENDOUS SALES FOR GIACOMETTI, GROSZ, AND PICASSO.

ART IS ALIVE AND WELL AND THE MONEY ON OFFER FOR GOOD TO VERY GOOD QUALITY ART IS UNLIMITED.

WELL DONE CHRISTIES. THAT WAS SOME SALE TO START THE YEAR.
