CHRISTIE’S SELL WELL BUT HOW WELL?

Read Time:42 Second

CEZANNE TOPPED THE SALE WITH A 21.203 MILLION POUNDS FOR A BEAUTIFUL BUT SMALL STILL LIFE OF PEACHES. WHO SAYS THAT BIG MEANS MORE MONEY?

RENOIR FOLLOWED WITH A SUPERB IMPRESSIONIST PAINTING OF A GARDEN/PARK SELLING AT 12.691 MILLION POUNDS. THIS WAS A REALLY GOOD IMPRESSIONIST PAINTING THAT MERITED THE SUPPORT IN THE SALEROOM.

MATISSE MADE A 2.771 AND VUILLARD 3.011.

THE FAUVE PAINTING OF VALAMINCK OF 1905 REACHED 4.746 AND IT DESERVES THAT AMOUNT FOR SURE.

FINALLY THE MONET PAINTING OF LILIES, A MAJOR ONE FROM THAT SERIES, FAILED TO SELL IN THE AUCTION BUT WE WONT BE SURPRISED TO HEAR THAT IT SOLD AFTER THE SALE.

THIS IS NOT A RENOIR BUT IT SORT OF REMINDS ME OF THE MASTER’S WORK
