COMPLAIN IF YOU ARE GIVEN A ROTTEN TREATMENT

Read Time:1 Minute, 7 Second

I WAS GIVEN A ROTTEN TREATMENT BY THE FRENCH BUT ….

REMEMBER WHEN I COMPLAINED THAT FRENCH PARIS AUCTION HOUSE FAILED TO CALL ME TO BID?

REMEMBER THAT I IMMEDIATELY COMPLAINED ABOUT THE EVENT?

I HAVE ALSO WRITTEN A SHORT ENTRY IN MY BLOG ABOUT THE INCIDENT AND THAT THERE WAS A CASE TO BID ON TWO LOTS AFTER THE SALE AS TWO OF THEM REMAINED UNSOLD.

IT SEEMS THAT JUSTICE IS COMING TO SUPPORT MY CASE AND THAT BOTH LOTS I WAS INTERESTED IN WILL BE MINE WITH A 20% LESS BID ,AFTER SALE OFFERS FROM MYSELF.

MORE ON THE ISSUE IN MY BLOG ENTRY THIS COMING SUNDAY!!

SUNDAY 1ST MARCH 2020

ALL IS WELL THAT ENDS WELL!!

I AM AT THE LAST HURDLE OF BRINGING THE TWO PAINTINGS I BOUGHT IN PARIS IN FEBRUARY, AFTER THE SALE. IT HAS BEEN AN ODYSSEY OF BARTERING, NEGOTIATING AND AGREEING THE SUMS INVOLVED. HOWEVER, 20% LOWER PRICES WERE WORTH MY WHILE.

THE LAST HURDLE IS NOW CONONOVARIUS AND TRANSPORTATION OF THE TWO PAINTINGS TO LONDON. THERE WAS NO NEGOTIATION THERE AS THE QUOTED SUM WAS JUST A BIT STEEP BUT ACCEPTABLE. BESIDES, I HAVE NO ALTERNATIVE BUT TO ACCEPT THE QUOTE AS IT COMPARED WELL WITH OTHER QUOTES.

I WILL COMMENT ON THE PAINTINGS ONCE THEY ARE IN LONDON AT A LATER STAGE.
