ART IS FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY
It was not possible to have imagined some thirty years ago when I started trading art of insignificance, that today I will be writing about the art accumulated and the motives behind those pieces of art collected. It would be far from the truth that I had in mind FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY back in 1983 when my art venture began. However, by 1992 I knew that the art I collected and commissioned from artists had one root and one direction.
FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY OF MOTHERLAND AND HELLENISM
HOW DID IT ALL BEGIN AND HOW IT DEVELOPED WILL TAKE ME TO WRITE A BOOK WITH FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY AS FOCUS AND MAIN INTEREST.
My world is not very wide but my interests vary considerably. Freedom and Democracy has always been my passion when teaching and when delivering FIERY speeches to Greek younger generations many decades ago. That was replaced with efforts to bring those ideas and those passions out through art that expressed my background and my beliefs.
I believe in FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY!
I BELIEVE IN HELLENISM, ITS HISTORY AND DESTINY WE ALL WRITE AS HELLENES, REGARDLESS OF WHERE WE RESIDE AND WHATEVER JOB, CAPACITY OR AUTHORITY WE MIGHT HAVE.
I BELIEVE IN FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY OF MY ADOPTED COUNTRY THE UK FOR WHICH I STOOD PASSIONATELY ON THE SIDE TO LEAVEEU, MAINLY BECAUSE I BELIEVE THE COUNTRY HAS BEEN SLIDING SLOWLY INTO THE ARMS OF UNELECTED DICTATORS IN BRUSSELS.

IT WAS MY FIRST MAJOR EXHIBITION THAT MARKED MY PASSION FOR FREEDOM OF CYPRUS.

THE EXHIBITION INCLUDED MANY VIEWS OF CYPRUS AND GREECE. MANY OTHER PAINTINGS FROM ELSEWHERE WERE ALSO INCLUDED. HOWEVER, FOR ME THE SHOW WAS GREEK, THE SHOW WAS CYPRUS AND ITS FREEDOM THAN ANYTHING ELSE. YES, THE MONEY WAS IMPORTANT BUT

My struggle with my feelings and at times against my own financial interests remained constant but I always decided in favour of my Ideals of FREEDOM and Democracy, rather than my pocket. Thus time and again I acquired paintings that speak to me of home, of people I lived with and associated with. The collection became bigger and bigger and with that my passions too.
The Greek history as incorporated in the paintings of Greek Monuments and Greek people from both Greece and Cyprus. The passion became a lifestyle and it was not difficult for me to side with the LEAVEEU campaign in UK with my main concern
FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY IN UK AND THEN IN EUROPE
I FOLLOWED AND LIVED CLOSELY THE SUFFERING OF GREECE IN 2015.
I lived the drama and cried over the submission and enslavement of Greece to the Bureaucrats of Brussels and Berlin. I FORGIVE THEM NOT, and I will never stop my struggle to liberate the whole of Europe from the Bureaucrats of Brussels AND THE MISERY THEY BROUGHT UPON EUROPE. My struggle will be fulfilled and still I will be surrounded by all the inspiration. the collection of a lifetime!
The Greeks have lived through much including Slavery, but they were never SLAVES!
CYPRUS AND ITS LANDS ARE FREE IN MY SOUL AND HEART AND NEVER
TURKISH OF ANKARA!
OUR LANDS AND OUR HOMES CANNOT BE TAKEN AWAY BY THE ARMIES
OF OTHER NATIONS IN 21ST CENTURY.
FREEDOM IS MY STRUGGLE AND I HOPE MANY OF YOU STAND BY MY SIDE
IN THAT STRUGGLE TO REGAIN OUR SOULS AND HEARTS IN THE LANDS
WE BELONG AND WERE BORN!
