BONHAMS SELL GREEK ART AT NEW HEIGHTS

The Greek sale at Bonhams Paris was a good collection of prominent and less well known Greek artists but it achieved very high levels of sales and greeter results for many artists including the top ones in Greek art.

It was a generally very good sale with many very good results and new records for some. The top lot was a predicted the Moralis work that sold well above estimate at 660,000 euros followed by many great sales for works by Tsarouhis, Lytras, Parthenis, Fassianos, Ghika etc etc.

THERE WERE 176 LOTS IN THE SALE AND THE RESULTS WERE AS FOLLOWS:

SOLD 150 LOTS WHICH IS 85% SOLD. THAT IS A GREAT RESULT for any sale.

THE SALE IN OUR ESTIMATE COLLECTED WITH COMMISSIONS 4,500,000 EUROS, WHICH AS FAR AS WE CAN SEE IN OUR RECORDS IS A RECORD SALE FOR A GREEK ART SALE IN TERMS OF MONEY COLLECTED.

WELL DONE BONHAMS AND ALL INVOLVED IN THE SALE.
