I HAVE DECIDED TO SPEND A FEW MINUTES ON WRITING A NEW BLOG WHICH I NAME

“”INSIDE THE CORONAVIRUS””.

SPENDING A DAY INDOORS IS OK. SPENDING WEEKS INDOORS MAKES IT HARD LET ALONE IF WE SPEND MONTHS INDOORS BECAUSE THE KILLER VIRUS IS WAITING FOR US OUTSIDE OR INDEED, IF WE BROUGHT IT INSIDE OURSELVES. THE THOUGHTS ARE SWIRLING, THE FEAR IS TANGIBLE, THE WORRY IS WIDESPREAD AND I AM IN THE GRIP OF ALL THESE NASTY THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS THAT TO SOME DEGREE ARE CREATED BY MYSELF AND MALICIOUSLY BY OTHERS, ESPECIALLY THE MASS MEDIA.

 

SURVIVE THE VIRUS, MAKE LIFE MORE INTERESTING!!!

 

I SAT DOWN AND I THOUGHT. I MUST PUT A TIMETABLE FOR MYSELF TO KEEP SANE AND SURVIVE THE ISOLATION THAT ALL OF US MUST FOLLOW, RESPECT AND KEEP IN ORDER FOR ALL OF US TO SURVIVE THE VIRUS. MAY I SUGGEST YOU DO THE SAME AND HOPE IT WORKS FOR YOU.

UP AT ABOUT 8:30 -9:00AM. WASH THOROUGHLY, HAVE MY MEDICINES AND VITAMINS AND MAKE A HOT DRINK TO WAKE UP. MIX IT IF YOU CAN BETWEEN TEAS OF VARIOUS KINDS AND COFFEE.

WATCH THE NEWS FOR A FEW MINUTES TO GET A ROUGH IDEA WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH THE ENEMY OF HUMANITY. IT IS IMPORTANT TO GET SOME NEWS, SOME GOOD NEWS IF EVER NEWS IS GOOD.

10:00 – 10:30 am  I HAVE A VERY LIGHT BREAKFAST WHICH I ALSO TRY TO VARY. SERIALS, BREAD AND BUTTER, BREAD AND CHEESE AND MARMELADE ALWAYS ACCOMPANIED WITH SOME SORT OF FRUIT; APPLES, PEARS, BANANAS, ORANGES OR TANGERINES.

11:00 AM  MY BEST FRIEND IS THE COMPUTER BESIDES BOOKS. I WRITE DAILY ON TWITTER, ON FACEBOOK AND LINKEDIN NOT JUST TO KEEP IN TOUCH BUT ALSO TO KEEP ME BUSY AND SPEND TIME WITH OTHERS AND MY OWN SANITY. I HAVE AN ONGOING PROJECT OR TWO WHICH I VISIT DAILY. THAT TAKES ANOTHER HOUR OR MORE AND THUS IT IS AFTER 12:00 AND NEARLY 1:00 BY THE TIME ALL THE ABOVE IS DONE.

1:00 WATCH THE NEWS FROM FRANCE AND VERY LITTLE FROM UK AS I TRUST NOT THE PROPAGANDISTS OF BRITISH MEDIA. I HAVE A VERY LIGHT SOMETHING AS LUNCH UNTIL DINNER AT ABOUT 5-6:00 PM. IN BETWEEN I WATCH TV QUIZZES AND OTHER PROGRAMS TO KEEP MY MIND SANE WITH SOMETHING LESS DEMANDING AND ENTERTAINING.

5:00-6:00 AFTER DINNER, LIGHT AGAIN, I WATCH ALL THE NEWS ON VARIUS STATIONS UNTIL 7:30. I DIGEST THE INFORMATION, I CRISS CROSS IT WITH OTHER NEWS ON TWITTER AND I RELAX TO WATCH A SERIES OR A FILM. THE TIME IS NEARLY 10.30-11:00 PM AND I AM READY TO GO TO BED.

I FEEL NO RESTRITCIONS THAT MUCH BEING A PLUS SEVENTY YEAR OLD. I TRY TO OCCUPY MYSELF, I GOT INTO THE ROUTINE OF WASHING MY HANDS TEN TIMES AT LEAST A DAY AND I FOLLOW ADVICE AND INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE GOVERNMENT. THAT IS WHAT IS EXPECTED FROM LAW ABIDING CITIZENS, WHICH I HOPE ALL OF US ARE. I SYMPATHISE A LOT WITH YOUNGER PEOPLE AND FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN WHO ALWAYS NEED SOCIAL CONTACTS.

 

WALK, EXERCISE, READ

 

MY DAILY EXERCISE IF ANY, IS FIVE MINUTES WALK ON A QUIET ROAD NEAR MY HOUSE. NOWADAYS, I STARTED TO HAVE A MINUTE OR TWO ON THE BIKE UPSTAIRS. I HAVE TO GET LONGER ON THE BIKE AS THE ISOLATION WILL BECOME STRICTER TO WALK IN OPEN SPACES AWAY FROM EACH OTHER.

NOT ALL OF US CAN AFFORD BIKES TO EXERCISE OR INDEED ANYTHING ELSE. MORE EXERCISE ROUTINES CAN BE INVENTED BY ALL OF US WHEN THE ISOLATION BECOMES STRICTER FOR A WHILE.

NEEDLESS TO SAY THAT I READ A LOT BOTH DURING THE DAY AND BEFORE I FALL ASLEEP READING AND AFTER I WAKE UP.

THE BEST MEDICINES FOR YOU IS WHAT YOU FIND HEALTHY FOR YOURSELF. AFTER CORONAVIRUS IS BEATEN, GIVE IT A COUPLE OF MONTHS, WE WILL HAVE PSYCHOLOGICAL AND EMOTIONAL ISSUES TO FACE AND ATTACK. PLEASE FOLLOW A REGIME OF ROUTINES THAT KEEP YOU FIT AND SANE! IT IS IMPORTANT WE KEEP OUR SANITY IN ORDER TO CARRY ON WITH LIFE ONCE THIS NIGHTMARE IS OVER.
