CLIFFORD CHARMAN (1912-1993)
LONDON’S SHOPS, 1950s

oil on board, painted 1950
62 x 52
Provenance: The artist’s studio, Bonhams London, 1993
Charman remains very underrated but with art that demands plenty of attention and recognition.
Further research into this painting suggests that the actual painting might be shops in Greenwich, South London. Greenwich Heritage Trust owned and exhibited a similar work of Charman back in the early days of the heritage.
