YIANNIS PAPANELOPOULOS ( 1936- )
Papanelopoulos is standing out among the star artists born in the thirties. His work is always immaculate in execution, always related to the struggle of man and machines aiming to conquer the elements and life on earth.
This is a superb oil on canvas narrating the struggle of humans in fair competition. The elements stand against but united with humans in competition and glory. This superb oil on canvas was painted during the Athens Olympics of 2004 and in commemoration of the struggles of the athletes at sea.
