AN ARTIST RECOGNISED WORLDWIDE IS SPYROPOULOS
THE CONTRAST AND DEVELOPMENT OF SPYROPOULOS’ ART
PRE 1950S
AFTER 1950S
Yiannis Spyropoulos is an artist recognised by any collector of Greek art or indeed many collectors involved in fine art worldwide. One of the main artists of the years before and after WWII, Spyropoulos emraced modernity and ended at the end of his life not just embracing abstraction but elevating into more meaningful expression of ideas and emotions about a world in crisis and confusion. In his world the discerning eye sees it all and portrays it all.
We present here the two works in the Vergos sale in Athens for the purpose of contrast of styles and the development of the artist through the years.
