WE GOT LOST IN SELECTING THE BEST OF THE ARTISTS, THE ART ON OFFER AND WHICH IS REALLY THE BEST BARGAIN AMONG THE MANY IN THE SALE.
There are many names that feature at auctions, some frequently and some very rarely.
A Bacon print is not rare but rare at Sworders. Prints by Picasso, Braque and Leger are also very rare for this auction.
The Swiss master Cuno Amiet
is also rare in an English auction plus Australian, S. African and French artists. All in all an international auction with a big flavour of English Art with names such as Gore, Fedden, Grant, Sutherland, Nash, Hirst.
We will discuss further some of the paintings in the sale shortly but for now we remain with the print of Bacon and the drawing/watercolours of Amiet as bargains to target.
