VALTAT’S STILL LIFE SOLD AT 16,000 PLUS COMMISSIONS

Todays sale at Sworders saw some really great prices for works of known and up and coming artists from all over Europe, Australia and South Africa.

Two artists that the auction does well with sold well once again with Aldridge selling for 20,000 pounds for his top lot, whereas Bawden sold for 11,000 pounds at the beginning of the sale.

Maistre of Australia sold two paintings at 20,000 and 7,000 each while Tretchikoff of S. Africa sold for 13,000.

French artists did well with Valtat selling for 16,000 and Barnoin for 1300.

Italian Boriello sold for 6500 and artists from Poland Weingart sold for 3500, Feynes from Hungary sold for 1500, Roy from Spain sold for 2400 and Cremona from Malta made 5000 AND THE SWISS ARTIST AMIET DRAWINGS SOLD FOR 600 POUNDS.

Our own Greek artist Zenetzis sold two lots for 750 and 1500 pounds each whereas Christoforou made 800.

All the above were hammer prices. Add to the above hammer prices 30% commissions and taxes and you get the actual purchase price.
